WHO HAS BEEN CITED BY OSHA?

Temporary staffing agencies Genco; Abacus-The Corporate Services Co.; Corporate Resource Services Inc.; Remedy Intelligent Staffing Inc., and Staffmark, were each cited by OSHA for one serious violation for failure to perform a hazard assessment of the facility before assigning employees to determine if hazards existed.  These five temporary staffing agencies each face $6,000 in penalties proposed by OSHA.

Consider this scenario:

Your agency sends workers to five (5) different host employers at five (5) different work sites. You are cited for a serious violation for failure to perform a hazard assessment at each location. Now do the math. That’s losing $30,000.

HOW CAN YOU AVOID LOSING MONEY?

Performing a hazard assessment is the easiest activity to do as a temp agency, but this is only the first step. There is much more that your agency must do to fulfill its obligations under OSHA, and we can help. We have provided a couple of FREE resources (Safety Guide Sheet and Temp Agency Citations) for you to download.  Click here to download more resources.

Also, we are inviting you to our workshop called, “Workforce Safety and OSHA Compliance for Temp Agencies."  This 3-hour workshop provides temporary agency leaders and staff with time-saving information and cost-effective best practices to protect temporary workers and meet the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.
